The Chinese people won the tender to build the stretch of A2 Towards the and of April; altogether the Polish, Chinese and Indian consortiums presented 87 offers of building the Stryków - Konotopa stretch of the A2 highway, section of 91 km that was divided on the five fragments: 29,2 km, 16,9 km, 20 km, 17,6 km and 7,1 km. On August the Polish and Chinese consortium of the China Overseas Engineering Group Co., Ltd (COVEC); Shanghai Construction Group (SCG); China Railway Tunnel Group (CTG); DECOMA LLC represented by the first company from the group - COVEC, presented the cheapest offers of the longest stretches (29,2 km and 20 km) – respectively 754 588 186 PLN and 534 548 523 PLN. Mec. Andrzej Olszewski from the office of Barylski, Olszewski, Brzozowski, represented the winning consortium said: Our presented valuation was based on the solid calculations of the all consortiums and the subcontractors. We also want to emphasize the fact of the successful cooperation on the level of offers’ preparation between the Chinese and Polish partners. We assure you that we have any technical measures and group of people that allow us to work without nothing standing in the way and as agreed upon the prices.
